TÜV Saarland Certification GmbH is an independent and autonomous conformity assessment body for management systems. We conduct audits and certifications on the basis of our accreditation in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the applicable normative requirements.
Our auditors possess in-depth technical expertise, industry-specific competence, and many years of experience in assessing process-oriented management systems. This know-how enables us to carry out audits appropriately, in conformity with standards, and with a risk-based approach across various organizational and industry structures.
As a certification body, we assess management systems in a neutral, objective, and independent manner, free from economic or consulting interests. Decisions regarding the granting, maintenance, extension, reduction, or withdrawal of certificates are made on the basis of documented audit evidence and within a formally regulated, independent decision-making process.
Certifications serve as objective proof that a management system meets the requirements of a standard. They provide independent confirmation of conformity and create transparency for customers, authorities, and other interested parties.
Independence and Impartiality
Ensuring neutrality, objectivity, and impartiality is an integral part of our management system.
TÜV Saarland Certification GmbH:
- does not provide consulting services in the field of management systems,
- is clearly separated organizationally, in terms of personnel, and in decision-making from consulting activities,
- is subject to a systematic process for identifying and assessing risks to impartiality,
- ensures that certification decisions are made free from commercial or other undue influences.

All audit and certification activities are carried out in strict compliance with the relevant accreditation requirements. TÜV Saarland Certification GmbH does not provide any consulting services in the field of management systems and is not involved in any way in the performance of such activities. In order to avoid actual or potential conflicts of interest and to ensure impartiality in the long term, it is ensured that persons who have been involved in consulting services may not be assigned to audit or certification procedures for the same management system at the same customer until at least two years have elapsed. Irrespective of this, we ensure at an organisational level, through institutionally anchored separation mechanisms, transparent decision-making processes and independent reviews, that all certification decisions are made free from undue influence.
